2017 Shenanigans Farm Horsemanship/Agriscience Program

Welcome to the world of horses! This exciting, hands-on horsemanship program, will give
students an opportunity to delve into all of the aspects of horses, in a 14 session program,
provided by Shenanigans Farm.

Students will learn and participate in hands-on activities in the following subjects:

Barn/farm management
Horse Care and Management
Horse behaviors
Riding Skills: Students will participate in a riding lesson, 10 of the 14 weeks
Horse Showing
Veterinary Clinic - Guest Speaker
Farrier Clinic - Guest Speaker
Equine Partnership Clinic - Guest Speaker
Equine Jobs - Guest Speaker

Student Requirements:

Current students sign up is April 17th - May 16th. New students August 15th.

Attendance mandatory. Must provide Shenanigans Farm with notice if student is unable to
attend a class. 1 group makeup class will be provided by appointment, for excused absences.

Students will receive 14, 1-½ hour sessions. Session will consist of a mixture of class work,
riding, and lab work. Students will also be required to participate in the required, weekly, Haiku

Students will be required to fill out a release form, signed by parent/guardian. Students will also
be required to read all rules/requirements, prior to the first day of class. Each student will
receive a copy of these items, upon registration.

Students will be required to register in person, at Shenanigans Farm by appointment.
Students/parents, will call Mary at 248-628-6939 for an appointment.  A reminder to also register
with OVA.
